Oral health plays a profound impact on one’s systemic well-being and comfort with eating and speaking. As an area that is less focused on among aging adults, this presentation will describe diseases in the oral cavity, the bi-directional impact on overall health, and importance of regular dental checkups. Furthermore, strategies for maintaining and providing safe, optimal oral health will be reviewed, including denture care, combating xerostomia (dry mouth), and more.
