New York’s Medical Aid in Dying Act, signed into law on February 6, 2026, will take effect on August 5, 2026. This program will provide healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of this new legislation and its implications for practice.

- The request and approval process
- Documentation requirements
- Mental health evaluation components
- Provider participation guidelines
- How MAiD integrates with hospice and palliative care services
